I’ve never hired a DJ before. How does this work?

With so many options out there, you may find choosing entertainment for your wedding reception to be one of the most difficult decisions that you have to make. Hiring wedding entertainment is not just about finding a great DJ & MC, it’s about finding the right DJ & MC to represent you and your family. The best approach to finalizing your choice is to set up an appointment to meet with us in person (or via phone). This will help ensure that you get the wedding that you want. What gives you the advantage over other DJ services? What makes you different?

How far in advance should I book my date with you?

Wedding planning typically starts 12 to 18 months prior to your wedding date. There is no good rule of thumb for when you should book your DJ, except to finalize your decision when you are completely confident and comfortable with your choice.

After I book my date, are you available if I need help planning or want to make changes?

Absolutely! Signing the contract and submitting your deposit confirms your commitment to us. In return, we commit ourselves to you by being available via telephone, email, text message, or in person as often as needed. We will definitely meet at least once prior to the big day to discuss special events, music programming, and other reception details. Additionally, we provide you with access to our online planning forms. You will be able to log on to our secure server and electronically organize the details and timeline for your reception. You can save, print, and access the forms at any time. You can also make last minute changes and feel confident knowing that we will have the information right away.

Will you take music requests from my guests?

Yes, with your permission of course. Typically, if requests are to be taken, we ask that you give our DJ discretion to use his judgment in determining if songs are, 1) content appropriate for your reception, 2) going to fill or clear your dance floor, 3) going to appeal to the majority of your guests.

I am quite picky about music. How will you accommodate me?

We will discuss music in great detail. We will offer you suggestions and provide you with food for thought based upon our experiences. However, this day is all about you. The music choices are up to you! All we ask is that you keep your guests in mind when we’re planning so that we can try to appeal to everyone’s tastes.

I don’t care for the group participation songs. Do you have to play them?

Absolutely not! The group participation songs (Electric Slide, Casper Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.) are popular and will most likely be requested by your guests, but that does not mean that we have to play them. The choice is entirely up to you.

How often do you take breaks?

Our team approach to reception management eliminates the need for breaks and maintains a continuous flow of events. You will have continuous music service all night long.

What will your attire be at my reception?

Our Master of Ceremonies will dress according to your preference. Options include business suit or business casual attire.

Do you carry back up equipment?

Yes. We have a complete backup system on site at each and every event. While equipment failures are extremely rare, our philosophy is to have solutions for situations before they even occur.

How much space do you require for set up?

We require an area large enough to set up an eight (8) foot banquet table with at least four (4) feet of open space around the perimeter of the table (approx. 16′ x 12′ total).

Are you able to provide music outdoors?

Yes, we can accommodate outdoor events. There are some conditions involved with an outdoor setup which we can discuss, if necessary.

Do you carry liability insurance?

Yes. We are fully insured and can provide a Proof of Liability Certificate upon request.

Will you provide me with a contract?

Yes. The terms of our agreement will be spelled out in detail. We will not do business without a signed contract.

Am I able to see you perform at a wedding reception?

Unless you happen to be an invited guest at the wedding, we are unable to accommodate your being in attendance to observe our performance. Just the same, we would never invite perspective clients to your wedding to watch our performance.
